Student Collars is a dedicated platform assisting individuals with work experience, apprenticeships and Key Worker roles when looking after canines. The project commenced in 2026 and is delivered in partnership with Hayley, founder of Dogs and Fairy Tales.
Who the programme is for
Apprenticeships
Placement-based learning for anyone building a career in dog walking, pet sitting or canine care.
Key Worker roles
Support for workers who look after canines day to day and need the paperwork to match the practice.
What members can see
Every placement is supported by documentation from partner agencies alongside each canine’s individual care plan, so the work you do in the field is informed and accountable.

Each dog's own handling notes, routines and welfare requirements.
Partner documentation
Policies and guidance from partner agencies, kept in one place.
Progress feedback
One-to-one written feedback from your supervisor, visible only to you.
These records sit behind a sign-in. Accounts are approved by Student Collars, so access is not open to the general public.

- Care plans, progress feedback and incident reports are visible only to the individual concerned and to Student Collars staff.

- To have an account removed, contact Student Collars and it will be deleted along with the records attached to it.
